  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and minced garlic; add beef and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat; add onions and sauté until caramelized (10-15 minutes).
  3. Push onions aside, add sesame oil to the empty side of the wok, increase heat to high, and cook marinated beef for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
  4. Combine beef with caramelized onions and stir for another minute.
