  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced chicken in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions; drain and toss with sesame oil.
  3. Whisk together sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat; cook marinated chicken until browned.
  5. Sauté minced garlic in the same pan until fragrant.
  6. Stir-fry bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas until crisp-tender.
  7. Return chicken to the pan; pour in the prepared sauce and simmer until thickened.
  8. Add cooked noodles and green onions; toss well to combine before serving.
