  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp agar-agar powder

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix the eggs, vegetable oil, and whole milk until well combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely on a rack.
  6. For the mousse, melt the dark chocolate chips in a bowl and heat raspberries with agar-agar until dissolved. Mix them together to create the mousse filling.
  7. Assemble by layering one cake with half of the mousse filling, topping it with the second layer and remaining mousse.
