  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (preferably full-fat)
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for tzatziki
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt for tzatziki
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper for tzatziki

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add an egg and mix gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs (about 20 pieces).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook meatballs in batches until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. Prepare tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (excess water squeezed out), garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper.
  6. Chill the tzatziki for at least 15 minutes before serving alongside the meatballs.
