  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup maple syrup (¼ cup for batter and ¼ cup for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden; toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with remaining maple syrup until smooth.
